After a very long period of silence caused by serious involvement in family matters we're back with some great news. Not only you can see something new from a painter you might have easily forgotten, not only you can see some of our popular painters take on a model of a new manufacturer. You also get to see a lot of pictures. You get to see new works from several painters. You will see single models, you will see dioramas, you will see vehicles, you will see units and you will see armies! So let's rock! You could have forgotten that there is such a painter as Hacket. But he is still here and he even presents his latest finished model: the Last Stand diorama, depicting... well, I won't spoil the surprise for you. Then there is Slawol with this Gatling Cannon painted for MaxMini - the manufacturer. You know what to expect from Slawol: weathering, dirt, and approach taken from military modelling.Ana also painted a model from a manufacturer that she's never painted before: Privateer Press. The model is the Epic Thagrosh - Messiah of Everblight. Obviously inspired by the official artwork, but not directly copied. Check the photos to appreciate all the fine details added to the model.Kacpero added another model for the collection of Red Scorpions Space Marines characters he was painting for several last months. This time it's Commander Culln of the Red Scorpions. And that's not the end of his Red Scorpions project yet!Gildor painted two models for Warhammer 40.000 and both are terminators. One is an Ultramarine Terminator, and the other is a Chaos Space Marines Terminator Lord. Do you think his painting improved since the previous paintjobs?Nameless started a new gallery for his Kir-Danaar Eldar army, which is the subject of his Tale of Gamers project. Now you can see a Eldar Farseer with a squad of Eldar Guardians, Eldar Vyper and Eldar Jetbikes in that album. Hopefully more is still to come!Kacper_gda added three new items to his gallery: a unit of Skaven Censer Bearers, Ogre Kingdoms Gorger, and a Dark Elf Hydra. It must be said that he keeps his usual quality on his paintjobs...And now let's move to the largest update in today's news: Wood Elves by Rzymek. It's a big part of an army of Wood Elves, but still not the complete thing. Despite this, it's still an impressive achievement, as the miniatures are really a nice sight. Let's start with everybody's favorites, the Wardancers, and then move on to the other units in the army: Wood Elf Glade Guards, Waywatchers, Wood Elf Hero on Great Eagle, Wood Elf mounted characters, Wood Elf Glade Riders, Dryads led by Drycha, Treeman, Treekin, Warhawk Riders, some more Warhawk Riders, Lord on Great Stag and two Wood Elf Standard Bearers. In addition to these miniatures he also painted these Warhammer Quest characters: a Dark Elf Witch and an Empire Wizard. And remember these are still not all the Wood Elves! The last thing in today's news is a bit of a curiosity. It's a small Space Marines force painted with very strict guidelines imposed by the owner. Guidelines, which in fact were limitations, because they also limited the quality of these models. They were supposed to be "black drybrushed with metal", but Rzymek decided he'd do a bit more anyway. So here is an example of the most basic Space Marine paintjobs by Rzymek: Space Marines Terminators and a Space Marines squad, two Space Marines characters and a Dreadnought. Can you see the difference between these and his other regimental paintjobs? Well, it's difficult not to see Take care and stay tuned for more news! |

| Establishing A New Tradition! |
|

|
Hello all. Long periods of silence between our news seem to become a kind of tradition here, so let's not waste time for introductions and move on to new miniatures in our galleries:Let us start with Illusionrip's Uncle Meat - miniature sculpted by JAG for the new range of miniatures (coming soon). Different approach to painting blood was presented by Flameon on his Konrad von Carstein. He also painted a Demon Prince of Chaos, after which he admitted big models are not his kind of thing...Large models never discouraged Demi_morgana, but this time the models he presents are not that big. There is a Champion of Nurgle, Chaos Sorcerer of Nurgle and an Aberration. Another painter who likes dirtier and not not too colorful painting is Slawol. His gallery was updated with pictures of a Sigmarite Warrior Priest and Grombrindal, the White Dwarf. Szary presents us two new paintjobs: Eltharion and a Dark Elf Lord - both pretty nice.Lothar surprised us with new pictures in his gallery. Unfortunately small pictures don't allow us to enjoy detailed photos of this Death Jester, but the other miniatures: Lord of Change, Knights of Nurgle and their Mounted Champion of Nurgle can be seen better!Rzymek added a nice bunch of lizardmen to his gallery, including this Saurus Oldblood, Kroxigor, Skink Priest, Salamander, Skinks, Skink Chief and Skink Chief with blowpipe. A whole army of such models must look really cool :) Then there's Kacper_gda, who shows two new paintjobs: Sorcerer of Chaos and an Ogre Butcher.Ana painted three new miniatures: dismounted version of Layla bint Suraya (mounted version to follow), Chrys, Dragon Tamer and a River Dragon as a counterpart model for her.Nameless keeps taking better pictures of his miniatures, which allows us to see and appreciate his works better! This time he added a new and better picture of his Dwarf Thunderlord and three new paintjobs: Lilith, Crypt Bat and Dodgy Drexel. And the last painter featured in this update is Kacpero with his two latest paintjobs: Red Scorpions Space Marines Chaplain and a Chaos Lord from Avatars of War.That's all for now. I just wonder how much time will pass before the next update... |

| This Was Planned To Go Online Today! |

Another week passed, but I am doing my best to be able to say: this time I managed to post the news on the planned time! So this time it's Sunday and here we are with some news from our galleries.Let us start with Illusionrip and his new passion: garage kits. You can see yet another garage kit painted by him, almost exclusively with an airbrush. This thing is big...But we've got many smaller minatures, too! For example Irkuck painted an excellent squad of Ultramarines Space Marines: Marneus Calgar with Retinue. If you want to see more photos of these nice miniatures, just check these photos of Marneus Calgar, his Chaplain, Company Standard Bearer, Librarian, first Terminator, second Terminator, third Terminator, fourth Terminator and finally the last Terminator. And if you still want to see more new paintjobs by Irkuck, see his version of a Night Lords Chaos Space Marine. Maybe there will be more of them one day?Another prolific painter, Demi_morgana, experimented with a new way of taking photos. Thanks to this you can now see a new photo of his old paintjob on this Scavvy Boss and a better photo of the Mid-Nor Scourge Bearer. But it doesn't mean there are no new paintjobs in his gallery. There's a nice group of Mid-Nor Hydra Warriors and for single photos of these miniatures check these out: Here's the first Hydra Warrior, the second Hydra Warrior and finally the last Mid-Nor Dwarf from the group. Pretty cool, aren't they?Let's move on to Slawol's gallery and yet another miniature in his dirty and weathered style: the Emperor's Champion. But if you would like to know if he hasn't forgotten how to paint cleaner miniatures - here's the proof: this Tir-Na-Bor One-Eyed Pilgrim is much cleaner and brighter than the Space Marine. But which style appeals to you more? And now for something more unusual: Two rarely updated galleries finally received some updates! Check this Araqsalil the Skinner by Kuczek and Space Marines Veteran by Mahon out! You never know how much time passes before you see anything new from these painters ;)The last thing in this update is Ana's repainted version of Hasslefree Miniatures' Kat. She painted the model first 4 years ago, and now wanted to improve the paintjob and make it more eyecatching. Hopefully you like the result. I do...Thanks for your attention and see you here soon |

| Was It Worth Waiting For? |

Long time no see, as they say.Yes, it's been like more than 2 weeks ago, and it was just a short update about our site being back online. So what we've got now is a lot of new miniatures to let you know about!Good manners require that we should let ladies go first, so let us start with Ana and her limited edition Lord of Tzeentch on Disc. Take a look at the patterns on his clothes and tentacles to see what took her so much time to finish this paintjob.Moving on to men now...Demi_morgana is our most recognized Warmachine painter, so you should check his Privateer Press stuff, including this Soulhunter and interesting Ghost of Dire Troll. But there is also a group of German Geneticists from Darkson Designs and a Warhammer 40.000 Death Guard Terminator Lord if you're not a Warmachine or Hordes fan.Illusionrip was not satisfied with the previous photo of his silver-winning diorama, so he decided to replace it with a new picture of the Demonic Tower. Hopefully it does more justice to this excellent piece!A new member of the Chest of Colors group, Slawol, who has just moved there from Box of Brushes, rearranged pictures in his gallery and posted three new pictures: Maneater Paymaster (painted at the time when he was still in Box of Brushes), Archaon, Lord of End Times and Terminator Chaplain. All of them are examples of the style that Slawol is trying to develop - dirty, gritty, and not very cartoony...Szary's female Eldar Farseer seems to be a total opposite of Slawol's style - saturated colors, bright paintjob, sharp detailing. I believe many people will love this kind of painting!Flameon's painting seems to be something between Szary's and Slawol's styles: Check this Theoden and Deathmaster Sniktch out to see what I mean. Przemo painted this excellent Infinity chick for a painting competition. With this quality of painting his chances should be pretty good.... unless his rivals are well prepared for such opponents!Szczurek also wants to enter the competition, so he chose and painted this Infinity model. Let's wait to see the opponents... But in the meantime you can check this Elf Standard Bearer and Aenur in Szczurek's gallery. One painter who managed to escape our attention is Kacper_gda. To catch up with updates in his gallery, let me mention these models: Slaanesh Champion, the Masque, Juggernaut of Khorne, Be'Lakor, Chaos Marauder Horsemen, and other Chaos Marauder Horsemen, Tigers and Space Wolf Rune Priest. And now something you don't get to see very often: a Dragon painted by Nameless as his entry for Iron Painter. He managed to paint this beast in 2 weeks. Impressiveachievement, isn't it?But that's not all - he also painted Grom da Paunch of Misty Mountain and a Templar Knight from XIII Century, so you still have quite a lot to see. To finish this update, I would like to remind you about the 3rd CofC Miniature Exchange, which is taking place right now. Some of our members already managed to deliver their miniatures to their recipients, so we can see these works in their galleries now. Let's start with Demi_morgana, who painted this model from Scibor Miniatures, then Lemartes with his Cherub, and Gildor with Prince Imrahil.Enjoy browsing! |

This time we have only a short update about new miniatures. Starting with Ana's fun project called "Peace and Love", inspired by so many things including the "King Rat" book, artistic aspect of Berlin, lack of tolerance, and mentality suffering from war experiences. The model is Rhasva Sentinel from Pegaso Models. Surely not something for everybody, pretty controversial concept and paintjob. Then there's something much more normal for most people, especially Warhammer players: Demi_morgana's version of Krell. Yet another old model from Games Workshop. Call it a classic if you prefer Nameless prepared many new paintjobs but now we have only three of them in our gallery. The first of them is Shiro, the Akita Inu dog, based on Nameless' real dog. And if you prefer fantasy stuff over miniature animals, you should see this Beastlord called Slaav'bor, and Fil'maar - another Beastlord painted by Nameless.Enjoy! |

Being sick doesn't justify not posting this week's update. Let's try to keep it short, but there's so much to announce...Dead finally could show us the High Elves he's been painting for a long time: Archers,Swordmasters of Hoeth, Dragon with interchangeable riders, mounted Lord and Battle Standard Bearer, Repeating Bolt Throwers, a mounted Mage, Hero and Battle Standard Bearer on foot, who can also be mounted on Tiranoc Chariots or a Lion Chariot of Chrace. Then there's Rzymek and his: Dwarf Bolt Thrower and Stone Thrower, Lizardmen Skinks and another unit of Skinks, Kroxigor, Saurus Temple Guard and another unit of Saurus Temple Guard, Bretonnian King Louen Leoncoeur, Hero, Battle Standard Bearer, Duke, and an unusual version of the Green Knight painted as a regular Hero. While we're at Bretonnians, let's show this Bretonnian Battle Standard Bearer by Lemartes, which won him an honorable mention at Slayer of Daemon contest. Then we have one more Warhammer Fantasy miniature: Heinrich Kemmler - the Lichemaster by Demi_morgana.Moving on to Warhammer 40k we need to mention Artur's Brother Captain Stern of Grey Knights, and Thrall's version of Huron Blackheart. Then let's move to some stranger things The strangest thing must be the fact that I managed to finish another miniature! This one took at least 5 years (most of it spent waiting in a drawer, but it also counts) but at least you can see that Mahon is still painting... Here's the proof: a Templar of Day from Reaper Miniatures.Another less popular model is a new miniature from Euphoria Miniatures: Nikolai, the ex-marine painted by Ana and awarded with Bronze trophy at the Slayer of Daemon contest. But it's not the last mini for this update! We finally managed to take acceptable photos of Ana's Chaos Dragon, a Golden Demon finalist from Germany. If you want to see this dragon from other angles, you can see more photos here.Enjoy! |

As some of our painters have posted new pictures to their galleries, I thought you should be told about the updates. Let's start with the most prolific of these artists: Rzymek. He posted pictures of a unit of Al Muktar's Desert Dogs, Chaos Knights, two Breonnian Sorceresses, Wood Elf Glade Riders, three Bretonnian Pegasus Knights, Voland's Venators and a High Elf Mage.Galharen posts his works very rarely, but this time we managed to update his gallery with a few phoos at once. So we've got a very nice Dwarf Hero from Scibor Monstrous Miniatures, a High Elf Mage from Galharen's own army, a White Lion of Chrace serving as a filler for a unit of White Lions that can be seen in Galharen's gallery, and another thing from his army: a High Elf Bolt Thrower. Quite a nice army he has, doesn't he?While we're at armies, we should mention another addition to Demi_morgana's Cryx force: a Deathjack.Almost every painter in this update posted some High Elves. We must mention Kacpero with his Selafyn and Szary with this High Elf Hero.To finish our update we need to show you Artur's Ragnar Blackmane and Przemo's Grimgor Ironhide. I hope you like them, as that's all we had for you this time... |

| What Good Is Miniature Exchange, And More... |
|
| |
|
Well, I know it's been quite some time now since the last update but there have been many things keeping me away from my news-posting routines. I hope the huge load of miniatures which get mentioned here for the first time will make you feel it was worth waiting for. And believe me - we've got a huge variety of miniatures for you now! We've got units and characters, we've got sci-fi and fantasy, we've got Games Workshop and others. Just sit back and enjoy! Let's start with... Mahon's (which means: my own) miniature. Not because it's the best of them all, but because it's me who's writing the news, which allows me to tell you that I managed to paint anything again. Yes, it's been many months since the last paintjob from me, but when I heard about yet another edition of Chest of Colors Miniature Exchange, I wanted to participate in it again! So here is my Sartosan Vampire, which was painted for our forum friend Skrit. If you haven't heard about the Miniature Exchange, let me explain that the idea is that every participant paints for another participant, who was randomly chosen. So you know who you paint for, but you don't know who's painting for you. And everybody tries to make a nice surprise for their recipient. Nice idea, isn't it? There have been such exchanges on other forums (eg. Reaper forum) but for us it was the second edition, and surely not the last one!As my miniature went to Skrit, in exchange I received this Chaos Space Marines Lord from Przemosz. And Przemosz. received a model from Ana...Here is Ana's entry for the Miniature Exchange: Alice, or "Sweet Night" from Hasslefree Miniatures. This was a gift for Przemosz., and also Ana's double-gold winning trophy in the Chick Challenge contest.Ana received this model painted by Dead: Mineko the geisha from Hasslefree Miniatures. And Dead received a model from Irkuck, who's a fan of Wyrd miniatures, so he decided to paint Bishop for Dead.Yet another Miniatures Exchange entry comes from Demi_morgana, who painted this model and received this Night Goblin Squig Hopper from Slawol. This Vampire painted by Nameless is a Miniatures Exchange entry too. Of course there were more miniatures painted for the exchange and you can see most of them in the gallery. And let's move to other miniatures now...Starting with Demi_morgana and his Driller for Warmachine and Albion Giant for Warhammer. While we're at Warhammer, let's show you Irkuck's Bretonnian Knight and yet another Bretonnian Pegasus Knight painted by Lemartes.Moving on with Warhammer, we've got Slawol who managed to post a lot of dwarf characters while I was unable to post updates to the news section. So what we have here is: Dwarf Engineer, Dwarf Runesmith, Dwarf Lord, Grombrindal, one more Dwarf Lord, and another Dwarf Engineer, followed by a full unit of Long Drong's Slayer Pirates. To continue with units, let's mention Rzymek, who posted a picture of a unit of Wood Elf Archers. Then there's a lot of Warhammer 40.000 goodness:Kacpero's new Ultramarines Champion, Artur's Space Marines Veteran Sergeant Aurelius, and yet a few more miniatures from Slawol: Eldrad Ulthran, Imperial Guard Commissar from Forge World, Eldar Phoenix Lord Asurmen, and a nicely weathered squad of Deathwing terminators. We've also got a squad of Space Wolves on bikes. So we're done with Warhammer 40K. What's left?Slawol again, this time with his Virago from Ilyad Games, and Gandalf the Grey from Lord of the Rings range. Even more LotR miniatures were painted by Gildor, who added this Elf, Haldir's Elf, one more Elf, and yet another Elf to his gallery. Then there's Nameless with his Sewage Mutant and a full photo of the City Bowels diorama. And to close this update with something really special, we kept Illusionrip and his new hobby: garage kits for the very end!Just take a look at this Mirei model, and if you like it there are many other photos of her in Illusionrip's gallery. You may have seen many of these models already, but I hope we managed to show you at least a few new paintjobs in today's news. And now let's move to a totally different subject... |

| So Many Minis And So Little Time... |
|
| |
|
I know it's been about a month since the last news. I wish I could post news more often.... but with being heavily overloaded with work I had too little time for it.But if you haven't found the lastest updates in our galleries by yourselves, I'll try to let you know what's new. So sit back and read on:Let's start with Rzymek, who added the most miniatures to his gallery. In fact he added more than a whole Eldar army. If you want to see better and more detailed photos of this army, you can check them here: here is the Avatar, Vypers, Howling Banshees, Wave Serpent and Falcon Grav-tanks, Guardians, Farseers, Wraithlords, Wraithguard, Weapon Platforms, War Walkers, and the last photo is the unit of Dark Reapers. But Rzymek painted more than just these eldar. There's also a High Elf Lion Chariot, High Elf Repeater Bolt Thrower, and a nice unit of Bretonnian Knights. Impressive numbers, aren't they?
And before we move too far from the subject of High Elves, let's remind that Lemartes painted a High Elf Lord on Elven Steed and uploaded it to his gallery. Then let's mention Nameless with three very different projects: one is a Slayer bust, that you can easily identify as Gotrek Gurnisson. The model was converted by Scibor for Nameless, who painted the bust. He also posted a Gamezone Elf, and a unit of Goblin Flea Riders. Then there's Artur with a full unit (yes, it happened!) of Plague Marines. 5 models, one of them with a Chaos icon and one in terminator armor. You mustn't miss it!Irkuck experimented with different colors than he used before, and first painted a Khorne Berzerker for Warhammer 40K, followed by a Champion of Nurgle. And Demi_morgana posted a picture of his CofC Mini Exchange II miniature and in case you haven't seen this Chaos Knight you should do it. It's been in his gallery for some time now, but I noticed that few people managed to see it.And to close the news today, let's take a look at Ana's unit of Empire Handgunners for Warhammer. They were all decorated with freehand patterns inspired by renaissance clothes. To see more detailed photos you should check the individual pictures of the Standard Bearer, unit's Champion, their Musician, one Handgunner and the last Handgunner.Enjoy and see you soon (hopefully sooner than before) |

| Newcomers and Comebacks... |
|
| |
|
This time I am unsure what to start with. Great comebacks or newcomers? So let me start with something totally different!Demi_morgana added something very uncommon to his gallery: it's a Chaos Dwarf Pit Stop diorama. I don't think you've seen too many of them before... Ana added a picture of the Dark Cheshire model from Anima Tactics range. Because the model was painted to represent the character's background - as presented by its owner - the paintjob may be difficult to understand without knowing the character it is supposed to represent, you may wish to check this and this post, which should explain a lot about several elements of this paintjob. Then there's our great comeback - our el_kornikus managed to show us his Harlequin Death Jester, which won him silver at Golden Demon 2008 in Poland. There's also his latest Space Wolf model in his gallery. But we also have two new galleries in the Box of Brushes section. The first belongs to Gazza, who presents his Butcher of Khador, Typhus - the Herald of Nurgle, Dwarf from Scibor Monstrous Miniatures, Legolas, Dwarf Thane and Bilbo Baggins. The second belongs to Hacket, who has only one miniature in the gallery, but we hope more will follow soon. The model is
Dalia, and I think it's a good starting point for his gallery Enjoy! |

Another week means time for another update. This time let me start with Ana's next squad of Plague Marines of Nurgle. This time they're the standard metal plague marines with only minor conversions and weapon swaps. Still for the same army in pre-heresy colors. Then we've got Nameless and two miniatures in 15mm scale: a Grancroid and Uncroid for Demonworld.Gildor finished his Pedro Kantor - Chapter Master of Crimson Fists space marines, so now you can see if he's made any progress since the Golden Demon in 2008, which was his last chance to enter as a youngblood. And to close this update we've got the new guy, Lemartes, with a few painted miniatures from him: There's a Black Templars commander, Dark Angels commander, Eldar Exarch, Eldar Falcon Grav-Tank, Blood Angels assault squad, Blood Angels devastators and a Bretonnian Knight.Good luck, Lemartes! We hope you will enjoy the hobby as much as we do! |

| Big Surprise From One Painter |
|
|
|
|
| |
|
Another Monday, time for another update...I noticed that this time we present a few models which had been painted before by the same painters. So it seems remakes are not only a movies thing. Let me start with Demi_morgana and something which caught my attention: He used parts of models from Ramshackle Games to create this Tanker. But when I was browsing his gallery I noticed a few things which I haven't seen before: How could I miss this Leman Russ tank and yet another Leman Russ? And in Demi_morgana's Warmachine gallery there is a new photo of this Harrower. Pretty nice, isn't it?Then there's Kacpero and his new Emperor's Champion. He already painted one before, so this time he decided to paint this one with more contrast and I think I like the new one more. But I think you can compare them and judge by yourselves..And while we're at Warhammer 40K and Space Marines, let me show you this Dark Angels Grand Master Azrael with his Helmet Bearer, that was painted by Ana. She started this paintjob about a year ago and had to abandon this project for a longer time until now that she returned to this model and managed to finish it. Better late then never But if you prefer Chaos Space Marines, there's another version of the Daemon Prince of Nurgle. Similar color scheme but bolder contrast this time. Surely this one is better as far as painting technique goes, but which one you like more is a question of personal preference. I think I prefer the new one, but I like strong shading in general. And the last information this time is about a new gallery on our site: Now Gildor's gallery contains only three miniatures, but we hope to see more of his paintjobs soon. Gildor won gold in Youngbloods category at Golden Demon Poland 2008, and hopes it was not the last trophy for him Wish him luck... |

I know you had to wait for this update longer than usually, but state of my health didn't allow me to do it any earlier. But at last I managed to collect the new pictures in our galleries for you:Let's start with Slawol and his dwarfs. There are quite many of them in his gallery, including a Daemon Slayer, Giant Slayer, another Daemon Slayer and a Dragon Slayer. Then there's Garagrim Ironfist, one group of Doom Seekers and yet more Doom Seekers, one Slayer Command Group and another Slayer Command Group and some Troll Slayers. Let's not forget to mention that there's also a new Goblin Hewer in Slawol's gallery! And if you're not really interested in fantasy miniatures, you may prefer to see the last Black Templar and Black Templars Standard Bearer painted by Kacpero for the Black Templars warband. Their opponents, a Khorne Berzerkers warband, is also finished now, after Przemosz. painted the last two models for this project: a Chaos Lord of Khorne and an Aspiring Champion of Khorne. Then there's Ana with her two new works: a Wood Elf Wardancer Lord and Lens Mendekenn on a complex base depicting this elf hero decapitating a gargoyle.Demon Color managed to finish Space Marines Captain Sicarius, and Demi_morgana posted two new things to his gallery: a Chaos Warrior and a Seether. In the meantime Nameless decided to participate in the Iron Painter competition, and his first entry, the Nightbringer is already in his gallery. Let's keep our fingers crossed for him, and wish him good luck and a lot of determination! |

| That's How We Start The New Year! |
|
| |
|
So you think you've seen BIG news? You'll see you were wrong...Not that it was intentional. It's a result of lack of time on my end, but at least this allowed me to collect enough new miniatures in our galleries to make really impressive piece of news this time. So without any further delay - let us start!Do you want to see a few more Golden Demon entries? I guess you do. So let's start with Illusionrip and his silver-winning Juggernaut of Khorne, and for your pleasure we also have another view of this Juggernaut. If you want to see more of his works, there's also his finalist: Typhus. If you want more, there's Kuczek's finalist from the Lord of the Rings category: Eowyn. Nice change from all those manly warriors, don't you think? But not for long! Kacpero's gallery was updated with pictures of the Black Templars Terminator Chaplain and Black Templars squad he presented at the Polish Golden Demon 2008. If you want to have a closer look at the squad, you can see the members here: Black Templar Sword Brother #1, Black Templar Sword Brother #2, Black Templar Sword Brother #3, Black Templar Sword Brother #4 (better known as Grimaldus), Black Templar Sword Brother #5 and Black Templar Sword Brother #6. But don't think it's all! There's also Ana's Harlequin Shadowseer, which won her bronze at the Golden Demon! And while we're at it, she also managed to post a picture of a Dark Angels Command Group she was painting for quite some time. Closer photos of members of this squad can be seen here: Dark Angels Space Marine #1, Dark Angels Space Marine #2, Dark Angels Space Marine #3, Dark Angels Space Marine #4 and Dark Angels Space Marine #5. OK, now we have a good part of this update behind us, or so I think... Continuing with the subject of Golden Demon entries we should take a look at Elvers' gallery. We can find photos of his two entries there: an abandoned Sentinel and a Death Korps of Krieg diorama. If you want to see more views of these models, you should visit the gallery and you'll find quite many of them there. Then there's Slawol with better photos of his bronze-winning Baneblade and another update for his long-time project of painting a Vampire Counts army. This time we can see a unit of Black Knights, a Nightmare, Varghulf #1, Varghulf #2 and yet another Necromancer. I believe the army should be nearly finished at this point...I think we're done with this part of Golden Demon entries for now. There will be more of them later, but now let's move to other models - starting with Demon Color and his Caradryan - Captain of the Phoenix Guard. It's a good example of his own style, which some love and some hate, but very few don't recognize. Don't you agree?I think that Artur is another person whose style is pretty characteristic and special. You may like it or not, but I think it's quite different to how most painters paint. This time we have two new miniatures from him: a Chaos Space Marines Sorcerer and a Chaos Space Marine of Nurgle. And while we're at Nurgle models, let's check what's new in the gallery of yet another fan of Nurgle miniatures - Demi_morgana. No, there's no new Nurgle stuff this time, but I found there quite a few miniatures which haven't been presented in the news yet! So what are they?Demi_morgana's new interest is CAV, and we can see two things for this game: Lance Tanks and a Centurion. And in his Warmachine gallery I found pictures of a Wreck Marker, Bokur Ogrun, Seether and a Witch Coven. And if you want nothing else but Warhammer miniatures, you should check his Herald of Khorne out. This should do for now......At least until you see Szary's Kurt Helborg or Dead's High Elf Hero on a Lion. And if you want some more High Elves, you should check Rzymek's gallery for his latest High Elf Dragon. You see, we also paint Warhammer models! And to finish this update we have one little but funny paintjob from Irkuck, who really liked Wyrd miniatures and coverted Baby Kade into such a funny Christmas model.Take care and all the best for he new year! |

So here we are with another batch of photos of painted miniatures!Let's start with Nameless, who painted a Daemonette of Slaanesh and a White Queen. The latter was his entry in the first ChestOfColors miniature exchange.Szary posted a picture of his Harlequin troupe, which won him gold at the Polish Golden Demon 2008 in Regiment/Squad category. As you can see they're heavily inspired by the villains from the comics about Batman. Here are more detailed photos of the Joker, Riddler and Poison Ivy. More are to follow...Galharen posted pictures of his High Elves: High Elf Mage, High Elf Dragon Princes, High Elf Silver Helms, High Elf Spearmen, High Elf White Lions, High Elf Archers, and High Elf Chariot.Benathai uploaded another squad of Assault Custodians to his gallery, and Kacpero has a photo of his latest Beastman for Warhammer in his gallery. Not the best sculpt in the world, but it's still worth checking out to see how well he painted the beastman's face. Demon Color showed us his latest High Elf Hero from Avatars of War. You just can't miss this shiny NMM armor! Very different than the latest works from Przemosz, who has two new pictures in his gallery: Kharn the Betrayer and Huron Blackheart. Now, Ana added her gold-winning Golden Demon entry: Ultramarines Venerable Dreadnought, which was a commissioned model inspired by Demonherald's "Brother Captain Severus". Did she manage to make this model her own and to paint it different than the original? You can see it by checking the picture in her gallery.Enjoy your stay at Chest of Colors :) |

What we've got here is the first batch of miniatures after the Golden Demon! So prepare for some interesting miniatures here...First there's something from Nameless, who painted a few spirit hosts for Warhammer. While the models are only of tabletop quality, his idea makes these models an interesting addition to his gallery of lower quality paintjobs. There will be something else, of higher quality, added to his gallery soon, so stay tuned for more paintjobs from Nameless!Artur used the idea which many Imperial Guard players used to discuss, and created an Imperial Guard Rough Rider riding a motorcycle! But that's not all - he also painted two Death Guard Terminators of Nurgle, which can be seen here and here. He seems to like Nurgle models, doesn't he?Slawol updated his galleries with two more units from the Vampire Counts army: Dire Wolves and another Necromancer.Rzymek added many pictures of his High Elves for Warhammer. There is
a General, Battle Standard Bearer, High Elf Mage on Elven Steed and High Elf Mage on foot, Lion Chariot of Chrace, Repeater Bolt Thrower and yet another one, a unit of Silver Helms, Archers and another unit of Archers, Spearmen, and another unit of Spearmen or Lothern Sea Guard.Demi_morgana showed us his latest commission: Morghur the beastman herald of Nurgle. You may be surprised how different this model is than most of Demi_morgana's earlier works.Eliash presents the picture of his Golden Demon finalist, which he named "Where's my hand?". It's a transformer-like model made from Tau parts. While insufficiently set in Warhammer 40K universe to become a winner, this model was interesting enough to make it to the finals, and earn Eliash honorable mention.Demon Color posted pictures of his scratch-built Golden Demon entry: Shagoot. Even though the miniature didn't win him any Golden Demon, you should check the model out anyway. It's big, it's colorful, it is a good representative of Demon Color's style!Ana posted photographs of one of her Golden Demon winning entries. This is the squad of Plague Marines of Nurgle which won her bronze in the Regiment/Squad category. Don't miss the freehand on the banner! Photos of other entries are yet to come... |

We started this batch of updates with elves, and we will end it with... even more elves. If you want to see what's new in our galleries, be sure to check Kuczek's gallery. There are a few ... no! not elves yet! ... dwarfs. We have King Thorgrim Grudgebearer on Throne of Power, Dwarf King Alrik and Shieldbearers, Dwarf Lord, old version of Gotrek and new version of Gotrek, Felix, Snorri, Dragon Slayer, Daemon Slayer and the White Dwarf. Quite a few, huh? And we still haven't reached the elves...Irkuck painted some miniatures for gaming, namely some Confrontation stuff: a bunch of Fiannas, Hogarth the Colossus, Kelt Warriors, Fury Warriors and Kelt Hunters. And now we're getting to the elves! You may have already seen Romek's High Elf Mage, but there are also some other new elves in the Box of Brushes gallery. Rentall's gallery was updated with photos of his Wood Elf Glade Riders and Wood Elf Lord on Great Stag. And that was all about the elves. |

It's been a long time since the last news here. But on the other hand this allowed me to collect enough new miniatures in our galleries for the huge update you are reading now! So witout any unnecessary introductions, let us start with the miniatures!Illusionrip painted Ultramarines Captain Sicarius. Demi_morgana gave the Big Fat Uncle from Scibor Miniatures another try. Check the results and compare them with the previous version presented earlier in his gallery. Szary added two very nice characters to his skaven army: Plaguelord Skrolk and a Skaven Warlord. If you check out the whole gallery of his army, you will know what a sight it must be on the tabletop!Dead seems to be in his 'blue period' (remember the 'red period' in the history of Games Workshop? ), so it's no wonder his High Elf Mounted Mage, High Elf Hero and Bretonnian Hero on Pegasus are painted in various shades of ... blue.Espoo updated his gallery after his long absence. You can see three Graylords here, but also on two additional photos here and here. But if you're more interested in characters than in troops, you may prefer his version of Irusk.Slawol has been painting a Vampire Counts army, and so he showed us models from this army: A Necromancer, a unit of Fell Bats, a Banshee, a few Wraiths and Crypt Ghouls. Quite many, don't you think? But there's also another
Dark Elf Assassin painted in tiger-striped color scheme, if you want something else than hordes of undead...Nameless painted his first bust and sticking to his tradition of giving his models names, he chose the name of Huri Khan for the bust.DiaCon, formerly a member of the Chest of Colors, doesn't have enough time for the hobby now, so he moved from Chest of Colors to Box of Brushes, where his involvement can be much more relaxed. His gallery was updated with quite a few Privateer Press miniatures, painted mostly for gaming. But this doesn't mean you will not like them. If you want to know, you need to check them out...And now there's a surprise for you: RIP, our long absent member of Box of Brushes, posted a few miniatures in his characteristic style with very limited palette of colors. The new works are: a Terminator Champion, another Terminator and a Tyranid Hive Tyrant heavily inspired by H.R.Giger's Alien. For those of you who prefer more colorful works, Demon Color returned with a Sorcerer of Tzeentch. It's good to see anything new from him after such a long break!Another neat and clean paintjob appeared in Artur's gallery, and it's a Champion of Nurgle from the Warhammer range. If you like Artur's neat and precise style - you should like this paintjob too!And the last information is that a new painter joined the ranks of Box of Brushes. Rzymek (because that's his nickname) showed us his
Eldar Harlequin Shadowseer, Wood Elf Dragon and Wood Elf Dragon and Treeman on one collage. If you like his works, expect some more in future. Now I believe you must be fed up with miniatures, so I'll let you get some rest. Take care and I hope to see you soon. |

You want to know why I don't paint? Read this piece of news and you will know. You will surely know...This was a busy week for me and I had to focus on taking photos of miniatures painted by other painters from our group. And these new paintjobs were pretty plentiful!Let's start with Slawol, who posted some new and some older miniatures to his gallery. The biggest of them is surely the Iron Warriors Dreadnought, but if you want something smaller you may prefer Marco Colombo, Space Marines Captain Tycho, or even Bilbo Baggins. And in case you think we don't show enough regimental quality paintjobs, you shouldn't miss his dwarf Troll Slayers. There are 29 of them! Is this enough? You don't think so?So let's move to Dead's paintjobs! This time it's the first batch of miniatures painted for a whole army of High Elves. There's a unit of 21 High Elf Spearmen, one more High Elf Mage, and another big model in this update: a High Elf Chariot. Still not enough? OK...In this case you should visit Kacpero's gallery and see his Emperor's Champion and 5 more Black Templars Sword Brethren: first, second, third, fourth and fifth. Are you satisfied now, after seeing more than 60 new models? Not yet???So I have to show you the last three miniatures of this update. Rentall painted a well known hobbit: Frodo Baggins, and something from the new range of Demons of Chaos: a very special demonette of Slaanesh called The Masque. And check if we saved the best for last: I hope you like Artur's new Space Marines Terminator. I think it's very likely...And to return to our initial question why I don't paint, let me answer you: you should already know. And if you don't, just count the miniatures in this update. I spent so much time preparing this update, that I had no time for painting. But I hope it was worth the effort and you enjoyed it. |

Hi all,We're a bit late with this week's update, but it didn't mean it wouldn't come...It was a busy time for us here, and posting this update dropped a little lower on our priority list this time, so maybe some of you managed to find the new miniatures by yourselves. But if you hadn't, here they go:Illusionrip's gallery was updated with his Golden Demon winnning Tyranid Hive Tyrant, which won him silver in France this year. You can't miss this paintjob, even if you've seem other pictures of this model, the quality is surely better here!Szary updated his Skaven gallery with so many new pictures of really nice miniatures from his own army, that it would make little sense to list them all here. If you would like to see Szary's Skaven army, just visit this gallery.Benathai continued with Adeptus Custodes, but this time he started the last unit: Assault Custodians. Check them out!Przemosz. posted a new picture of his Bane Goliaths from the AT-43 range, and a Herald of Khorne (or simply a Bonecrusher of Khorne). There will be more updates in Przemosz.'s galleries to come as soon as I manage to take photos of them!Irkuck posted another white chaplain. This time it's a Space Marines Chaplain on Jump Pack. Pretty nice miniature, especially in this uncommon color scheme!Demi_morgana presents us a Zombie bust from Scibor Monstrous Miniatures. What do you think about Demi_morgana's painting in this scale? We'll close this update with Nameless' three new submissions: Chef from Black Scorpion Miniatures, and two Reaper miniatures: Lurien the Ghost and Nivar the Wraith. The Chef is my favorite of the three, but it doesn't mean it has to be yours too... |

| 7 Dwarfs Looking for Snow-White... |

|
Weekends are usually the time when I take photos of the new miniatures. This was one busy weekend, which resulted in a lot of new additions to our galleries. The heroine of today's update is without any doubt Kuczek. She managed to add 9 (yes, nine!) new paintjobs to her gallery. Seven of them are... well... stunties, dwarves, dwarfs - whatever you feel like calling them Here is a Dwarf Lord, a Dwarf Standard Bearer, and yet another Dwarf Standard Bearer, or for a change a Dwarf Engineer, and another Dwarf Lord, yet another Dwarf Lord, and the last Dwarf Lord. All they're missing is Snow-white to accompany them. But if you pay enough attention to Kuczek's gallery you may find two ladies there, so maybe one of them is Snow-white in disguise? No, I don't think so. They look much more like a Succubus and a Wraith. But they're nice, nonetheless Then there was Slawol with his Kurt Helborg. The paintjob was supposed to look like the official paintjob of the Games Workshop's version, and I think he managed to achieve this task pretty well.I finally re-took photos of Illusionrip's Lunar Wolf. I already took pictures of him once, but they were terribly grainy due to too high ISO setting. This taught me to double-check settings of my camera before taking any photos to avoid repeating the same job over and over again...And just because we started with a nice group of short men, let's finish this update with anothe nice and friendly bunch - this time it will be a group of Berzerkers of Khorne by Przemosz. They may not be stellar paintjobs, but they were supposed to be tabletop quality paintjobs, and I believe they are at least satisfactory! One has to like this dirt and verdigris all over them, and the nice bases they have.Have a nice day! |

The last weekend resulted in another update to three galleries. Demi_morgana continued with his "Forces of Evil" project, presenting the final photo of his Plaguebearer and some new paintjobs, namely: Chaos Warrior, and two Snotlings. I found the tiny guys really funny, so maybe you find them amusing too? Przemosz. managed to show new photos of his older works: Deceiver from Necrons army, this particular one was supposed to be used as a Demon Prince of Chaos. But there's also a real Demon Prince, another older paintjob from Przemosz. The last new thing in his gallery is his Chaos Space Marines Lord or (more accurately) a Raptor. Check him out to see the improvement in Przemosz.'s skills since the time he painted this model And lats but not least, we've got some news from Nameless. There's Lorus Hightower, Lorielle Silverrain and Yamcha - all about tabletop quality paintjobs. But if you want something better, there are a few: Haunt, Lion's Lancer, and Evil Wizard.Enjoy! |

It was a terribly busy weekend for me, as I had to take and upload many pictures of our latest works. It was a lot of job, but I managed to do it - so now you can see the pictures in all their glory So what do we have here? Let's start with our trusty cyber-zombie Demi_morgana, who managed to finish Quovadius. If the name doesn't say much to you, just check the picture. Great atmosphere and really interesting concept! And if you want to see more dirty and smelly stuff, there's a Death Guard Rhino painted by Mahon and Ana. Very dirty, heavily weathered, and covered with slime. Looks as if it was pulled out of swamp, which covers bases of miniatures in the army for which the Rhino was painted. If you remember Ana's Great Unclean One, you already know which army it is...Then we have Eliash, who posted two new works to his gallery, and both of them are very different. One of them is a dark and sinister Chaos Space Marines Lord, while the other is a bright and shiny Knight of Dol Amroth with a great little freehand. I hope everyone can find someting to suit their taste there.Przemosz. posted something older, which was still missing from his gallery though. It's a Demon Prince of Chaos, so if you like big winged creatures, this one may be for you But the record of this update was set by Irkuck! Not only he posted two new units of tabletop quality Imperial Guard and a few RPG characters, but he also added Screamers of Tzeentch, Firewyrms of Tzeentch, and a Lord of Tzeentch on a disc to his Warhammer gallery. If you think that's all, you are still wrong though! Anybody who likes Irkuck's works mustn't miss his Eldar Autarch! It's a really nice miniature with which I would like to close this longish update...Enjoy your visit to our galleries! |

It's high time we posted some news about updates to our galleries, isn't it? Let's start with the most obvious addition: a new member of Box of Brushes! MFC joined the crew and posted a few miniatures to his gallery. You will see Jotun from Hasslefree Miniatures, Necron Lord for Warhammer 40K, and some other miniatures there. Check them out, they're worth a look! There's also a new picture of Kacpero's Golden Demon winning Cirdan, because we found the old one didn't do justice to this paintjob. Hopefully the new one is better...And if you wish, you can take a look at Illusionrip's Arwen before he changes anything. He wants to change a few things, so you will see a new version in some time, but for now the current one has to do. You may also wish to know that Szary posted a picture of his latest paintjob: Wood Elf Lord. And the last thing I'd like to tell you about is that we had to relist the charity auction for Ana's Garity Gals. Ebay cancelled our auction, so we decided to list it again so that Children in Need can get some money. Remember that every cent from this auction goes to charity, as a part of the Newbold Challenge, so maybe you can help if you have a few dollars to spend? Thanks in advance! |

I didn't manage to add all the new pictures of painted miniatures yesterday, so here they go today. We've got news from Ana, Demi_morgana, and Irkuck.Ana managed to finish project which she started just before our wedding. For those of you who still don't know what it is, here's the picture of the Old Couple on a wedding cake. Yust two sure and simple minis from Hasslefree Miniatures. But there's something definitely not as cute as they: Ana's version of the Great Unclean One - a greater daemon of Nurgle from Forgeworld. Colorful but disgusting fat monster, sitting in a swamp. Well, a picture is worth a thousand words, so check it out Let's return to Demi_morgana's works for a moment: I managed to upload the last from the few reposts of earlier miniatures with new photos. This thime it's Demi's Rusty Rhino pulled into a swamp by a Cthonian. What do you think about the weathering? Which wethering? You must be joking, right? And Irkuck managed to finish his long-time project of converting Archaon into a Chaos Battle Standard Bearer of Tzeentch. It's colorful, it's bright, it's fiery, and it's covered with freehands. You'll better see it instead of reading my description. Take a look, and I'll be back with some more pictures soon |

This time we can be proud of the Box of Brushes crew. They updated their galleries with so many newly painted miniatures, that they dominated today's news So let's go into a bit more detail:Galharen updated his gallery with a nice and bright Ordo Malleus Inquisitor. Przemo posted a huge picture of a Space Marine heavily inspired by Demon Color's works. He confirms that Demon Color's paintjobs were his source of inspiration and posts such big pictures to make it easier for people to suggest him what improvements can he still make. If you want to do it - just visit our forum. On the opposite, Romek posted a smaller picture of his Alarielle the Everqueen of Avelorn, also looking as inspired by Demon Color's version. But nobody can beat RIP's number of new minis This guy uploaded pictures of his Rhino, which won silver in 40K Large Model category at Bazyliszek 2006, but also other minis from the same Black Templars army: Land Raider Crusader, Predator, Dreadnought, Land Speeder, Emperor's Champion, and even a regular Space Marine with plasma cannon. But not only the Box of Brushes' gallery was updated - Eliash updated this gallery of painted miniatures with a picture of his Black Templars Sword Brethren. If you want to see them on individual pictures - just check them in his gallery. |

I had a lot of work to do this weekend. So many pictures to take... But who cares? At least now you have some new photos of painted miniatures to see: Let's kick off with Demon Color's Alarielle the Everqueen of Avelorn, which must be the most natural-colored miniature this guy painted . Then we have Illusionrip's
Captain Sicarius of Space Marines. Szary returned with two funny miniatures for BloodBowl: a Halfling Cheerleader, and a Treeman. Check these out and you'll have a good laugh Then we have a lot of news in the Box of Brushes galleries: There's a Vicar of Dirz by Micdlu, another version of the Orlock Gang Leader by Zahor, and a bunch of miniatures painted by Zagi: Ordo Malleus Inquisitor, Orc Battle Standard Bearer, Cynwal McCormac, Amergim Rus Folaigh, and a Servitor: Tanker. Then, to finish the update we have three Treekins by Kacpero. Wow, it was much....But wait, it's not all! I almost forgot I have a picture of my new zombie-hunting kid Peter. Even though it was painted to be just a gaming mini, I thought it's cute enough to share with you |

And after a few days of silence we're coming back with another update. This time we have about 20 painted miniatures for your viewing pleasure Illusionrip updated his gallery with a better bicture of Beastface the Centigor. Now you can see more details of this conversion and interesting effects like lava. :) As we're talking of lava, Ana based her Yh-Sabahal on a lava base, too. Initially it was supposed to be a lower quality work, but she liked the mini so much that she spent some more time painting it. She also posted a picture of four Goblin Gas-Blowers, but they are mere level 2 miniatures, so don't expect too much of them.Benathai painted four more Custodians, and you should expect even more from him Demi_morgana added quite a few new pictures to his Warmachine gallery. They are parts of his new diorama. You can see his: Scrap Thrall, Rogue Alchemist, Necrotech, yet another Scrap Thrall with effect of glowing, and a Reaper Helljack for his Cryx force. Much, isn't it? Szary presents us a picture of his Lothern Sea-Guard High Elf Hero, so that you can see the freehand painting he did on the horse's caparison and the shield. And last but not least two new works in the Box of Brushes galleries: Kuczek's Games Day Slayer and Nameless' Naomi the Vampiress. Check them out and have a nice day! |
