Watching other painters allowed us to notice common errors they make in the way they treat their brushes. So we thoight it might be useful to remind about some basic tips which will make our brushes serve use better for a longer time...

1. Dever dip the whole length of the bristles in paint. When paint gets under the ferrule, the brush will easily lose its shape and bristles.

2. Never keep your brush in a cup with water, especially bristles down ;) Clean and dry it after finishing your work.

3. Soap or shampoo (even with hair conditioner) is good for bristles.

You can rub it in the bristles of your brush, form a tip, and leave it until the next painting session. It can also be a way of regenerating your deformed brushes, but not every crime commited on brushes can be undone this way. ;)

Nice "brushing"! ;)
