Has anyone tried this technique yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cw6QjE2a7A0&feature=plcp
It looks like a nice way to achieve a smooth blend but I'm sure it's a lot harder than it looks. It also looks quite slow...
Thank you for your input.
anyone tried McVey's "damp brush" blending technique already

it works like the feathering technic to me, and as you say all blendings are slow

The use of two brushes one with paint the other damp used only to blendCorvus wrote:what exactly do you understand by feathering?Pandadosmares wrote:it works like the feathering technic to me

Ok so that's basically the same then
Another thought that occurred to me is that it is very hard to do on small surfaces... but I should give it a try on a similar surface as shown in the video....

I tried once on the hand of my yellow dread to blend the blacks and it worked great.
I read somewhere a similar technic where they used 3 brushes 2 with the paints and the third damp just to blend them in the middle i dont know if this is wetblending, feathering or something else like stew
as i recall someone here used feathering to blend and paint a Dark Eldar Reaver, dont remenbr who
