Suggestions for following figures ?

Hello All,

I'm trying to get back into painting after many years and little experience, and wondered if any one could recommend a good colour set for the following figures , and If possible from the Vallejo brand ?

The first set of figures themselves are all from heroclix brand and compromise of mostly storm troopers , and vader while the second are the same 35mm scale but of Daleks.

I also have some statues and a tomb in a larger scale from lemax I was hoping to paint too , so if any one has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

not sure what minis exactly you have in mind, but a general set of basic colour would be a good option for start
black, white, blue, red, yellow, green, brown, orange, purple, grey, silver, gold...
