How to take good min photos?

Post by Hosea »

Dear all,

I took some photos already. My setting:
Camera: Cannon G3
F: 8.0, Shuttle: 1/4
Micro, auto focus, zoom to 4.0 optical, about 6 inches from the mini
AV (light-being-considered first function)

1 energy-saving flourscent bulb desk lamb (about 11w, cannot remember)

Result? still not good, if I could take some good photos, I love to let u guys see my noob work. :P

Check out this thread on the Privateer Press forums. Lots of good information about setting up a shot, and what settings to use on your camera.

Linkage.

popular in HK / China?

Post by Hosea »

There are not as many people who get involved in this kind of minature painting in Hong Kong and China as in North America and Europe, I think, by population %. but esp HK people like a lot about Japanese Anime like Gundam models, other Jap. Anime resin modelling. Overall, ppl here like to watch Anime and play video games rather than painting and modelling, but there are surely a group of enthurastists (spell wrong? hehe)

I am kind of introduced by Tom to here, I was always visiting thecoolminornot web. But since I visit here, I find that a lot of really useful information, tutorials, tips, discussions which enrich me a lot, where coolmin can only show me the photos mainly.

That is whyI greatly appreciate this site and so happy to be a member here, if you guys accept me, haha.

And, it is my true wish from heart that we can share and exchange cultural ideas, stuffs and fun through minature painting. for example, I did some conversations which reflect some oriental cultures in some of my minatures.....etc...

Anyway, so nice to meet you all here. I learn so much....thx
