No,can`t make it. It`s a shame. But work and that blasted carneval here interfere with the whole february.

hmm 5,5 hour drive for me
And it's Painting Crusade in Brussels (1 hour drive) that weekend.

Maybe next year :) WHat's the level of the painting competition there? Or is it mainly a gaming event?

I'll add it to the event calendar as well.

I think as a painting event it is nothing like GD.

judging by the numbers placed next to the models there weren't that many entries :)

anyway an event to keep an eye on, maybe it will grow over the next few years and it's worth the trip...

We have been there on Sunday with a friend of mine. I have to say they improved a lot since I visited this event last time 2 years ago. The place was bigger providing more space for shops and gaming tables. From the service side it was also much better, you had a selection of different foods and drinks, even fruits. Last time it was wiener and bread :)

Quite an impressive day it was altogether. We have seen loads of interesting stuff, met nice people, was definitely worth going there. There was an absolutely huge selection of figures, tools, terrain pieces, everything you can imagine in the tabletop hobby. Several companies came from different countries. There were local clubs presenting known and less known games and giving possibility for guys like me to participate and ask questions.

One of the best terrains there was made for the game Dystopian Wars from Spartan Games. We got, of course, also hooked, so we couldn't leave without buying a starter set :D. This is the risk if you go to games cons :D

Now that makes me want to play and built a table for it :( (got a whole FSA army for it)

Though, I must admit that this table would only be played with flying army, no possibilities at all to play with tanks on this one sadly :(

Yes, that's indeed the case, flying units or ships only. Use it as inspiration. I will try to create a table where we'll have the possibility for playing some land units. I don't have any yet, though :) It seems the game's main unit types are the flying and swimming units. BTW, the figures are made of high quality resin and pewter, I was impressed.
