The grot with the ammo crate is part of the Nobz boxed set and the grot with the tray above his head is part of the painboyz blister he's the assistant to the crazy doctor !

Ok after finishing some genestealers, i moved onto the next Ork, this one i decided to call Ahab. Im happy with what i've done so far, i wanted to keep a similar colour scheme with the other ork and similar styles. Painting from a midtone is quite fun actually, it's helping me learn to blend and how far i am comfortable with thinning paints etc.

Re: Arctica's Pirate Crew !
erm actually it's a combination of both, the pics are very dark, but also his skin isn't as light as the other one. Just like people have different skin tones, i've always imagined the same was true for orks. So maybe i accidently did that without noticing. I'll try and take some better pics when i progress some more.

Re: Arctica's Pirate Crew !
if colour variation is your choice - sure, why not
Re: Arctica's Pirate Crew !
I think have a colour variation for some of them would keep the whole gang very interesting
Re: Arctica's Pirate Crew !
Well i managed to finish his main torso and belt etc, then i started work on his arm. Im not 100% happy with the gold nmm on the arm but im still working on it to clean it up and it to how i want it to look. I think i have a bit too much midtone and highlights on it, i need to bring the colour back down with a few dark glazes. Still it's getting there, the skin isn't much darker than the first one, but it is a little bit, especially around the face. I think a finishing the hat would help pick it up a little.
