For my first ToG army I've settled with cryx. I've picked models that I like and that I already own without considering the playability of the army. It's all in the looks
The colourscheme
The colourscheme will be close to the standard cryx colours. So expect to see green/grey for armour plating and some strong and maybe unusual necrotite colours for contrast.
I will be playing around with masking fluid too, to add some battle damage.
The basing will be pretty standard, but with added water/slime effects.
Sounds like quite a large list but still a nice and varied one so i think it'll be very interesting The one thing i love about Cryx is that their units are really varied and strange.

Are you planning to play with them?
I might use the army once I learn the new rules and when I get my friends to play again But there is a huge chance that they'll end up in my display cabinet on a display base

It consists of 30 models all together. It's a 50 point warmachine army... but I honestly have no clue if that's standard or small I just want to get an army painted
And cryx looked like the most fun to do a tale on. Like you said, it has a lot of variation. The other armies are much of the same. That's one of the reasons I picked cryx over my khador.
It was a skirmish game I could have made the army even bigger if I had picked a few less jacks.
Timetable... not really. I'm going to start with the Lich lord. After that I'll do half of the Mechanithralls and see where it goes from there. I'm not good with my own deadlines so I didn't set any
I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread, you picked my favorite Warmachine army and I'm looking forward to see something painted by you again. Good luck!
