well even though i am afflicted with the plague, i'm managing a couple hours of painting and progress is going pretty well. I'm fairly happy with how the model is at the moment, i need to neaten things a bit and glaze some darker shadows to bring out the contrast but it's getting there slowly.

I've been stuck in a motivational rut with this model and finally forced my way to finishing the damn thing. It seems like some of these larger models are bit too much for me sometimes. I'm about 75% happy with this final result for this model, but it is done for a painting competition here in Dubai, most of them are gamers but the organiser asked me to help raise the standard of the competition. Anyway have a look and do the usual :D

I can understand some shortcuts if it is basically a gaming piece, but the left-hand blade looks like it was only primed with black :)
other than that - nice!

Actually i'm half tempted to do some free hand on the blade, i wanted to keep it quite dark but i guess the photos don't help and perhaps i could take the highlights a few steps further.
