Finished pDoomshaper, i tried a bit of OSL on the staff and i'm fairly happy with the model and the text on the scroll. 7 of 13 :) But Tom and i have been wracking our brains on this as the head of the staff doesn't quite feel like it is glowing or the source of it as such, any helpful recommendations would be good.

Ok so after a brainstorming session with Tom i redid the stone on the model and brought up the highlights to give the staff the glow effect. Much happier with how he is now and my client is very happy with the model.

Looking loads better now, before it looked like it was just a stone but now it totally looks like it is glowing! Nicely done

For sure it looks better now, maybe white highlights are placed bad or the shadows aren't deep enough to give OSL feeling?
I am no OSL expert, you have to ask C'tan or study his works :)

Well i've been a bit quiet with lots of visitors and busy with real life, but i did manage to get quite a bit painted this weekend. This troll bomber took me quite a while as i had to mix up the colours specific to the client's requirements but he is very happy with the results and here is another troll for his collection. 8 out of 13. ^^ not too many more to go then i can get on with my Cryx force !

Unfortunately :) my client takes one model from me and gives me a different one once i've finished the other. But i play against him often so once he's given me the final models to paint i can get them together and take a pic. He has however changed his mind about giving me more trolls i think as he wants some circle of orboros painted up now for the league we're starting this weekend.
