Kir Danaar Craftworld - Eldar by Nameless

Post by Nameless »

I never managed to paint any of my armies. So why do I want to start painting an army now, when I'm not playing tabletop games?
I don't know, actually. I don't think it was my bro's request to paint him an army for his birthday. most probably I just want fulfil my old wish to have a painted army.

I'll try to get my old eldar army finished. 1500 - 2000 points.
1st stage is to paint 400 points for '40k in 40 minutes'. then - rest. I checked new eldar codex (yeah, for me it is new ;))
farseer, 12 guardians with a heavy weapon platform, 3 jetbikes and vyper shall make for a nice, simple and varied army around 400 points. deadline - bro's birthday, 12 June. oh my
don't expect high quality paintjobs. heck, don't expect Szary's tabletop ;) expect base colours with some basic highlight/shading.I only want to get playable painted army.
Chosen colour scheme - black/red/white. pics will follow.

Keep your fingers crossed :)

Awesome I like the colour choices very striking and on the battlefield it'll look very cool. I like the progress so far. You should do a group shot for before and after ;).

before and after what? :)
these are WIP, but as you can see, I'm not aiming at super-quality. just quick paintjobs, perhaps even under quality level 1 (as per CoC standards) ;)

Ah when i referred to before and after i meant, the whole 400pt shot at the beginning and then one group shot at the end of the project too ;)

Plus compared to the majority of tabletop standard i've seen these are already better.

ok, will do a pic of my primed 400 points :)
quality - well, these are just base colours only + some darklining. nothing fancy, and seeing all those fantastic paintjobs on units/armies even here on our forum makes me bit envious. But, I know myself. If I get distracted and try to produce showcase pieces - I won't get anything else but few nice pieces. ANd that is not my goal.
