What you mean by rat ogre? One of the plastic GW Minis from set "Skaven Rat Ogres and Giant Rats" or the 2 from "island of Blood" ??
Those from Blood island got rather spikes + fields of something than fur I would just change value of colors and paint this area as different part with his own range of brightness and contrast and color - well classy grey is not bad ,blond either
and if you got Rat ogres from rat ogre box well that's not "fur" either, GW sculptors have no idea how fur looks ... I would go for Albinos rat with those and just shade this "Fur" in Black and White with addition of base skin color - yes this will meld this a bit with skin but now this is mess (or just make him Blonde - Arian Rat ogres with blue eyes )
ResuHellspawN paints anything

I converted it years ago to get a strange and very wild position with rings piercing the flesh of its back, chains hunged on those rings and pieces of broken wall at the end of those chains... yes, you've understood, it was chained straight from the flesh to the wall and it made a strenght contest with the wall. The wall lost!
The unhealthy flesh seemed the good choice indeed...
For the hair, I think the albinos look would be fine! Thanks!
I've got to paint a realistic skin with those white hair... not like this...

Good minis but not what I want...
Those are pretty.
Mine must be insane.
And for the eyes? What about one blood red eye and one clear blue eye? Strange enough to be frightening with the albinos style?
Re: ResuHellspawN paints anything
1 picture - this just grey areas on minature - thats not fur
2, 3 thats army lvl of painting - it works but that notthe goal

back to the hairs - ther is an article "how to paint Hairy wolfen" end that's actualy tech you would like to consider (it mey be used to paint alrdy "furry" models - ofcorse if it is "lame spike fure from GW" - real fur like dunt undergo this tech - you just dont need to create impesion )

o end if you whana know - this tech go 1 hair at a time a lot of work but effect is impresive
a real competition work would be propably just converted - fur would be resculpted to look like fur not like spiky thingy but i think this tech of fur making will be good exorcize

Re: ResuHellspawN paints anything
The one by Drodo looks much better but, with albino hair, I won't have the opportunity to use shadows dark enough for this technic, I think...
Albinos look like this (hi, Mademoiselle... thanks for the picture)
