Hi I have casually painted mini's since I was about 7 years old when mini's were made from lead and I used enamels. I have always been artsy but my interest in painting mini's is related to gaming not as an art outlet. There has been many years where I haven't painted a single mini. Within the last 5 years I have really gotten into a local game company, Privateer Press's Warmachine\Hordes and my years of neglected art projects have come roaring back. I have created a bunch of fluffy\themed small armies of things that simple appeal to me and are not really based on the conceived 'power' of the models in the game. For instance I have an all beer drinking Troll force.
After a few years of making of buying models I find myself with full shelves, a dissapointed wife for wasting money , and a focus on finishing these themed lists by getting everything custom based and painted. I used to draw my own superhero posters and airbrush them, so I have bought an airbrush to work on these new 120mm huge based models. I am an above average tabletop painter, but I paint and assemble models slowly and coupled with a 50 hour a week job, a 5 year old and a 2 year old... my timeline to finish is infinity.
I am now in the hunt for some painterS to help, even though I take pride in my painting accomplishments and have to overcome my wife's additional squinty eyes. LoL. My expectation is better than I can do and the models will be played with.
I twice have tried the contact form over the last two weeks but I have not received confirmation of receipt.
As I am now caught the painting fever, I will enjoy trying to improve my skill by trying new techniques and will post some of the things I have done as well as few of my projects as a whole.
