Elluvari Laser

Post by tidoco2222 »

I recently discovered the Sacred Blade site and was just blown away by some of their sculps, this one is one of my favourites that I have painted of theirs to date, though I do have more to do.

I wanted to go for a Superhero type look and thought hat the pants would help to portray that with the colouration I chose. I also added the straps and ring to the model to allow me to paint it bare chested as I thought the muscle tone should realy stand out and not be hidden under clothing. The base is intended to sit as part of a bigger seen (not yet started) using another couple of their minis.

I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed painting it.

Wow great skintone!! Can't really say that there is something I don't like. Maybe that the white of the weapon could use some more shading, but that's all I can say. The rest looks great. What do you use to make such an industrial base? I mean the plate he's standing on and the stuff behind the barrels :)

BTW I like this sculpt apart from his nose :D

The baseplate is just a piece from the GW WH40K battlefield accessory pack, and the mesh was an old letter rack that I cut up. The pipes are drinking straws with a little greenstuff for the ooze out of the ends, all in all just bits I had lying around. The gun does have more shading than it appears it is just that the lightsource washed it out a bit.
Thanks for the comment.
