It's been a while since I've posted anything, so here's a little tid-bit of Inquisitor Rex's shield I started working on. It's only a couple hours in, but hopefully I'll have some frequent updates with this one.

I was very inspired by Arctica's dreadnaught. It's encouraged me to take my time and take breaks when I feel I'm getting restless. This is also my first attempt at using white primer instead of black.

(The bronze and green is all that has been worked on, the skull only has a black wash undercoat)

add just a little bit of green/turquoise around the rivets - for oxidation :)

add anything around the rivets to make them pop :)
don't forget to highlight bottom edge of scratches.

Well, it's about that time...

Yes, I started a new figure. No, I didn't finish the old one. Please don't pelt me with rocks or other not so fun objects. :(

I decided I don't like washes/inks/glazes or any of that fancy stuff. Some people swear by it, but it's just not for me, which means this is all wet blending.

Pictures are kind of dark, the contrast doesn't show very well and there's reflected light in there (bad!). The next set will be higher quality when I have a bit more to show.

Oh yeah, expect some bronze on the metal bits. I love bronze. :)

Sorry, that would be the image hosing site. Hopefully these will stay up.

Edit: I have some questions about pushing the highlights a bit more. I'll elaborate when I get home.
