Tanya knows she's not supposed to come looking in this post because she's judging the competition. Since I can't show her the model as I work on it, I'm going to try showing it to you guys. I'm still working on getting the lighting right for shooting pics with my new camera, so some of these shots might not be as useful as they could be.
The contest is single-figure contest for our LGS. Models must be purchased during May, and they are due in by the 31st. I've been painting my Menoth stuff and a commission Circle army lately, so I decided to buy a model I wouldn't usually paint. This is Ivar Silverfist, Dwarf Priest from Reaper's Warlord game.
I've built a large base that will have a waterfall. I'll get pics of the base in the next few days.
Here are some of the first pics. I'm doing this model entirely with P3 paints. I finally got the second half of the line, and I am even more impressed than before. The greens on this model are going to be so much fun to work with (base color only, so far). I have already touched up the black spots on the left side of the face, I just didn't want to shoot some extra pics. I'm going to be making the beard whiter. This is just 2 layers and a wash (Greatcoat Grey base, Frostbite highlighting, Greatcoat wash).
