Hi All,

I'm just trying to learn the nmm stuff. This is my 3rd modest attempt to paint an armour/weapon
with this technique. I would appreciate any feedback and constructive remarks about that parts.
If you have any comments on other elements, you are welcome too :)

Thanks in advance!

not bad- highlights seem to be OK, I'd only go deeper with shadows. Even to black in the deepest recesses. Then you only need to work on smoothness but it will come with time...

i like it.. good choice of colors on NMM.. placement of light reflections seems to be OK.. and agree with mahon: you could go deeper with shadows..
other elements looks too desaturated as for me, but its beginning so everything could happen ;)

Hi guys!
Hmmm, I'm quite surprised and happy at the same time, that the comments are positive :)
So the message is: deeper shadows and, as always, smoothness. OK, I'll try.

To kacpero: I like desaturated greyish colors and can't do anything about it. I enjoy watching other minis with bright happy colors, but when it comes to painting, I always tend to make it dark and dirty. Which most people will point out, but I like it. But everything can happen ;)

I'll post new pics when I find time to paint again. Now I have to write an article and still don't have everything prepared for it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi,
I've finally found some time to continue the elf. Sorry for bad pictures, but I have terrible light on my desk at the moment.

The cloak is in reality much smoother and the contrast on the mini is also better in reality.. The pictures turned out very grainy :(
I've enhanced the shadows on the metallic parts (the use of black, suggested by Mahon, was a good idea :) ), painted the leather shoes and bracelet. The quiver is not finished yet.

Do you have any practical suggestions which colors to use to highlight the piece of wood he is standing on? I have no idea how to proceed with it. I plan to put plenty of grass and would-be-flowers on the base.
