Sigvald thr Magnificent

Post by Docitalicus »

I started a new project, Sigvald the Magnificent
Up to now I have done the face and the trunk armor (it will be white, as the rest of the armor)
For the shoulderpads I am in doubt: I wanted to do them slightly different, so I started painting them in a sand color. Let's say that the left shoulderpad would be having that look at a final stage
What do you think about? would you like the different color or it should be white as well? or which other color? metallic?
Thanks for your feedback and comments

That sand colour would look great on the whole mini with some weathering in my opinion but I can't seem to get a grip on any reason for making it that colour though.

Like the face but the lips need a touch of red to them.
Getting back into the thick (or rather thin as in thinning my paints) of it, not picked up a brush in some time so this may hurt a bit until I get used to the feel of them again

For the face you are absolutely right, I need to slightly adjust the shadow on the right cheek andthe lips need some red and clear spots of lights

For the shoulderpads, what about to turn to metallics? Any thoughts about this?
thanks

Maybe something like this for the chest piece

and leave the soulder pads as they are.

Of course it might mean learning dow to do NMM

No problems for the NMM, I was usued to do in the past.
But the collector asked for a white armor, so I just need to understand whether or not I have to differentiate the shoulderpads.
Do you see them metallics for example?
thanks

Ah if it's for a customer then just ignore anything I say

Actually I think the sand colour is nice.

Customer is always right uh? :D
Anyway, I went for bronze shoulderpads, they should help in framing accurately the face and they should fit with the blonde hair...
Soon I'll post some pictures so you can comment it if you like.
Thanks
ciao

Indeed Mahon, though I'm not sure if it's painted already or 'just' the result of zenithal priming? Either way it looks good already.

I would go for a strong contrasting colour on the shoulderpads to put the face in the center of attention.
