yes, but points 1-2 related to my previous statements, not yours.
the death of gamesdays is a big hole in many countries that only have gamesday as events
UK, USA, Germany, France, Spain, Italy - all those countries have other big events.
Poland - we didn't have a games day, only a golden demon. Golden Demon was part of a big con called Polcon. Noone was discontent that it was not a separate event.
I have no problems if any company organizes painting events for their range...
me too. What I think is wrong, is that GD is more important in Europe than general painting competition.
Reaper holds ReaperCons once or even twice per year, they have a painting competition there limited to their minis, masters category is always a showcase of great skills (Schubert, Reimer and many other well known artists). I can' imagine though that it is more important contest than GenCon.
again how can a recently painting competition compete side by side with the most tradicional and old painting comp in mini world?
there are competitions for historic modellers (accepting fantasy mini though) which are probably older than GDs.
thats never a good thing to lose...
never said that. I said it wouldn't be SAD or TERRIBLE to me. I didn't say I'd be happy with GDs cancelled.
