Be prepared to see lots of cool minis, videos from tons of mini publishers... this coverage is huge and you can find painting contests, gameplay walkovers, new releases, never seen models and outstanding dioramas... buckle up and dress some diapers...

AoM and I met some of these TTGN guys, and they were really, really nice! We helped them put together (literally) trophies for the Infinity tournament.

We also had one of our SueCrew folks find this picture:

Paintminion (Sue) is the lady in the blue shirt sitting and admiring the table. Her husband, Art, is two people to the right of her in the tie-dye shirt.

The poster of the pic said about the table...

"What is this? It's the Sultan Gaming Table from Geek Chic. It's basically the thing I have been asking why no one has made for years. It's a pool-table sized gaming table, centered around a well area. At the bottom of the well is a whiteboard surface, and on top of that is a felt pad (on a stiff back), and on top of that you can place maps, which you can then cover with a clear plastic hexboard (or gridboard, if you prefer). And, if you want to use it as a dining room table, you can cover the top with a wood cover that levels the surface (and probably safely covers any miniatures you have down there). Around that there are all sorts of cubbies, drink holders, and unfoldable writing surfaces. It's gorgeously handcrafted from walnut and maple, and if I had $9600 and the space for it, I would have bought one right then and there. If you are one of those people who can afford something like this and wants it, I suggest you get in touch with these guys -- their GenCon debut here is what they're using to judge demand, and if they can't sell enough, the company will probably close up shop. I think that'd be a real shame, so I would love to see them succeed (if only so that they are around when I win the lottery and do have the money for it)."

I know it's not too useful for someone outside of the US to know about, but once I saw the pic and read the description I just had to put it here.

OMG that's sick. Or maybe: crazy, because I mean it in a positively geeky way.
Great thing of which I could only dream. Too much luxury for our modest flat...

O-kay... Go to PP Painting Competition from the main list (Friday coverage), then go to the third page of pictures. Sue's are the 3rd down in R column, 4th down in L column, and 4th down in Center column. How's that?

not too fond of the one in center column,
I like the one from right column,
and it's not easy to say anything about the left one (the smallest one) as the photo isn't very good and I am afraid it doesn't do the paintjob justice...

She cut the big pile of hair (Bride of Frankenstein) off a Morvana, gave her a hood and long hair coming out of the hood. She's actually really pretty.

Oh, and Derek Schubert won best of show at PP. Crazy good diorama. I'm on the lookout for pics.
