Cool to see the pictures and even better to get to know some of the online friends. I had a blast at the party. Actually, I may paint something for the next year ;)

well... you're right :(
i did not realise that till you mentioned that
i was informed all the trophies would arrive ready. they were packed so i didn't want to risk (as they arrived few days before the event) any damage and didn't open them. my fault
maybe in future we will have them made and send you to attach to trophies.

oh, i believe they are! a demon looks naked without the plaquette saying what category, what year and where it was given out. it puts some more "value" to them imo...without them they look...weird...

I for example like all the different languages on the trophies, etc. :)

I really hope it gets fixed for next year =) just something that says Golden Demon Polska(sp?) 2008 and Category...this can easily be prepeared before the competition (i believe in germany they just ask some random sign maker to do it) and then glued to the demon.

i think this adds some more...personality...I don't know how to describe it better...

P.S.: can someone explain to me what's the motivation got to be to paint jesus on 40k miniatures? I mean, we all remember the "painting jesus" story, but er...mkay...weird...somehow...unapropriate...totally unfitting with the background story...

I totally agree. Maybe all the winners buy such plaquettes themselves and put thm on their demons? ;)

As for the icon with Jesus - we were told it's the Imperor depicted in this way. But the painting of Jesus as what dropped this squad (our potential winner) from 1st place to the 2nd. Two good squads, and one had this weakness... Well, this is why he wasn't the first.

I generally agree with Trov, plaquettes would be a very nice touch and addition. Szaman, don't forget about them next year :)

Hi and welcome,

1st: That was a great event, but it needs more people entering in future! The cabinets looked almost empty. I don't understand teh people that brought their models, looked at the entries and didn't even tried to enter.

2nd: My nick is spelled wrong on the 1st page. Slawek got it right, there's no "H" in the middle.

3rd: Could someone please tell me what was in the Rhino that got it 2nd place in 40k vehicle?

4th: I saw there were small diplomas printed for finalists too. I believe all my entries were in the finals, and I didn't get the small diplomas for 2 that didn't get past this stage. Can this be fixed?

regards
Slawek
