The only thing I am really unhappy about is that the planned meeting of painters, which was to take place before the GD, didn't work out. So we missed the only other 3 painters who wanted to meet anybody.... And this meeting was the major reason for which we wanted to go to the GD

Well, you don't always get what you want....
The two previous years, I was the planner and organizer of the saturday's activities. I couldn't spend any time the organization this year because of personnal projects which need a lot of preparation (actually, my wedding).
So, very soon, Jérémie, who was in charge of "public relation" the previous years (sending mails to foreign painters, inform and coordinate everybody for the activities), posted a message for french painters community to find a "local organizer" to book a restaurant, plan a museum visit on saturday, and some stuff like that (last year, we played football with spanish team for example).
Unfortunatly, nobody felt motivated enough to assume this charge. I was very disappointed of this laziness of french community, and to notice that no restaurant was planned...
Maybe last year I'll have more time to spend on saturday's activities, and I'll be able to organize something to bring together all the painters.

@NAMELESS:
2 - these were Imperial Guardsmen dressed like Gaunt's Ghosts. looked pretty cool

7 - yep, Balrog falling down
23 - exactly what you said. I found this slightly disturbing but pretty interesting.
45 - but don't they look OK anyway?

48 - LOL. have you noticed how the blood sprayed around on the sand?
55 - yeah, I saw it before. excellent one!
61 - I assume you don't?

well, it's not very common interpretation of the subject. I suspect it's a yeti
@SATANAS:
Thanks for the explanation. It makes things a lot clearer.
Anyway Jeremie did a great job with as much work and as little time as he had!

2 - I know, but they just look like hobbits to me

7 - I thought so, but mini looks like nazgul, not balrog
45 - they probably look good because of that, not in spite of it

48 - yup. pity that all glass shards from broken windows dissappeared

61 - yeti? I'd rather suspect playorc at hugh heffner's party

Just a quck word to say congrats to Illusionrip for Silver and to Ana in making first cut. Competition looked pretty impressive from the pictures.
Will post some of my work soon for everybody to judge.
