great painter, lousy pics.
I don't know Alek personally - does he paint something else than Death Guard and naked girls? I can't recall seeing anything else from him.

Slawek, Phil...
As much as I respect Alek as a painter, I must say these pictures don't do justice to his minis. They really don't. I've seen all these minis at WM2006, and these girls are painted in a totally different style than these Nurgle guys, and both styles were really cool. Alek is a very skilled guy with imagination and abilities, which were easy to see in these minis.
I believe these pics were taken by Milo, but - with all the respect to him as a pro-photographer - I've seen better ones from him. I am sorry to see that it was on Alek's minis when he didn't manage to do them justice...
And it's great to see Alek' minis online at last!

I know him personally. Great guy!
Apart from those Nurgle stuff and naked girls - he paint some Imperial guardsman, Thousand sons marines for my friend, part of old Inquisitor for me...
And he have a plan for something new in really bright colors... But it could be secret...

Just re-checked these pictures. The problem on the nurgle guys could be because they must be a pain to photograph with all these color nuances.
But why the hell do the girls look so bad?

I think its some kind of problem with light. I believe Milo will make a better photos... As to the Nurgle guys maybe we will see them in WD on better quality photos

on the pictures this nurgle wariors look realy bad:) but on real I don't like very much it too. It's good paint job but this colors.. I dont know.. girls are great paintjob but pictures again look bad.. thx fo sharing
