in case you didnt notice yet.

https://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... 07&start=1

giving the sword to a model that has been known through slayer challenge and that imo wasnt the best in show kinda leaves a shallow aftertaste, but that's just me.

lil troy getting the stick with 3 really good entries must have been tough luck too...some i plain dont understand...

40k single 3rd place is a fuken diorama ^^ i dont get it...
40k monster 2nd place is an =I= model O_o

arkaal taking 4 gold, 1 silver is good sport too ^^ and his name must be so darn hard to spell, so they spell it wrong in different ways is just so GW as well d'oh ^^

IMHO the 3rd place in 40K single should be 1st place in duel, but who cares what I think...

Open competition looks like 40k/warhammer single. I always expect cool stuff in open.. not another infantry model on a more elaborate base.
I have to say though that the quality has gone up.

As ussual, many runner ups or "honorable mentions" are better than the actual winners ( for example check the bellow 3 minis on honorable 4 but theres more).

let me say something as a judge - minis that you see in display cabinets are not the same that judge see from the distance of 1 inch, and these are not the same minis that we see afterwards in coverages ;)
leaving that aside - some nice works there, need to see them on a screen showing true colours :)

that's why I only commented on the (IMHO) miscategorization of one entry :)

hihihih like someone pointed out to me... thats why judges didnt spot the mouldline on the FW best left foot, 1 inch is way to close for gigantinc mouldlines hihihih

Seriously... I know what your saying... by the time these pics reports get to us its nothing like IRL... but the only judgement/comments we can provide is based on this. Not many people can see this IRL. So nothing we can do to change that.

I've heard some mutterings about the judging at LA. I'll see if I can find out anything from someone that was there.
