Spiel 2009 event coverage

Last Sunday I visited Spiel in Essen, Germany. The event is really huge, but there were only a few miniature companies present. But this made it easier for me to cover everything

The first game looks interesting, some nice figures if I'm not mistaking.
Ronnie Renton of Mantic Games, the name sounds familiar. I believe he was my boss at one time at GW. Same guy?

Yeah the company is made up of mostly ex GW employees.

Excellent report! Thanks a lot.
The Micro Art Studio stand looks excellent and I just love the way they presented their bases.
Zitterdes? I wish I had more of their stuff... and more... and more...
Alkemy - nice dioramas there!
Freebooter? Unfortunately you're right.. They can't compare with the bigger companies

Not sure yet... I think it would be fun. So at the moment chance of me going ~75%
