An Attempt on Sculpting.....Vampiress Bust

Always wanted to attempt sculpting, so decided on creating a Vampiress bust.
I have used Super Sculpey for the bust.
Inspired by some Lahmian art from GW, I spent most of Saturday working on the bust.
The most difficult task was to try and get the mouth and eyes right....and it seems I still need some work -_- for I can't seem to get the proportion right.
As this being my first sculpt please be as harsh (and gentle) in the criticism. Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Thanks for looking

don't know much about sculpting, but for me proportions are off.

for the first attempt it's not bad. you seem to have some control over the putty and tools. now you need to improve the proportions, anatomy, etc.
this seesm to be correct technically, but the form is not very good yet. especially the profile is bad - she looks much like the characters from the Planet of Apes or some kind of neanderthal... Not very vampirish, not attractive at all.
And the hair is something I would hate to paint...

I'm not a sculpter myself so first I applaud your attemps
For me the shape of the head (as you say yourself) is a little off, the forehead is too low and the cheek bones are too big also the mouth is far too narrow. Shape aside the only criticism I really have is the cuts to make the hair seem too deep, perhaps you need to make bigger clumps of hair with smaller cuts into the clumps... I know it's not 'real' but it gives you an idea of what I have in my mind...

As you can see the clumps of hair are thicker and the grooves or cuts are a lot smaller, I don't want to dissuade you from finding your own style for this but it's just what I personally believe is wrong.

For a first attempt I am jealous, you have natural talent. Much better than I could do. Please keep up with sculpting; and you will improve. The advice above is good, take it and you will improve.

it's easy to see you know what it all is about. what you need is:
a) some reference artwork, so you don't sculpt things which exist only in your imagination. with time you will develop a natural sense for right proportions.
b) practice...

Thanks guys and do agree on the proportions being a bit off.
There is a chance for me to redo the whole thing and maybe go a little bigger, in order to get the feel and be able to work with it more comfortably.
I was able to find more references which I believe will be good source to use.
@Cyberpaddy66: I believe I understand what you mean....but the photo reference you provided is not showing....would be nice to see it.
Hopefully I can come up with something by next weekend.
Thanks again for the helpful comments and great encouragement.
