Two WIPs

Post by TerminusEst »

I've got two new (not that new, really) WIPs...

First is a Demon Prince conversion, which still need a bit of work. The idea came when I found the legs of an old hive tyrant and started playing with ideas which included chopping the feet off and replacing them with non-nid hooves. Inspiration for the dog-skull head came from Gw's old Bloodthirster which had one, the rest just came from nowhere :)

Second is the eldar farseer, I'm considering including it in a considered resume for a sculpting job at darkwaterminis. So it has to be perfect :P.

C&C very welcome

the demon is really good.....can't wait to see the results

as for eldar , i think the head is too thin or the neck too high...don't no...and the pose of the mini is strange :D

i agree with Illusionrip - the eldar seems to be too thin, but other than that I like both minis: well designed, cool poses, smooth sculpting... Want to see more :D

The Daemon's pose reminds me a bit of the old Skaven Daemon, the Verminlord.:)

About the Farseer. Do you really want to have such a company tied mini as an example of your work to another minature company?;)

You're quite right, I never thought of that...

I can't imagine it'd matter much, could it? :)

Working on a new model for that purpose anyway, the farseer isn't enough up-to date with my skill :P (WIP pics will be up soon)

thanks for the comments ;)

I dunno if it matters much but each company aims for it's own distinct style. I just thought it might be better to have a more neutral sculpt to show of your skills...

I'm not sure actually, an axe was the initial idea. But I'm not sure about it now .

Guess you're right, it's a good excuse to get another sculpt started...

BTW, made the eldar a bit fatter (just a little :)), looks alot better now.
