Coffeegoer's Crom WIP

Post by coffeegoer »

Hello all, so im new here, only been painting a few months, this is my first try at alot of freehand. Im in a bit of a pickle, crom has a large fur cloak on his back, but when i try to drybrush on there, the black basecoat just seems to rub off after a few brush strokes.
Can anybody help me out with that?
Can i avoid dry brushing all together? It just didnt seem practical to paint every single little fur... or is that the only option?
