Moose second wip DWARF for warpstone contest

Post by Moose »

Hi,

Thanks to everyone who let their comments on my landraider. I got it I think ...the side of the brush !

Here is my other wip. A dwarf lord that I want to present in 2 weeks. Let me know what you think. Sorry for the poor pictures(too much light), I'll try to find a better way next time.
I had a bit of trouble with his left eye and couldn't remember well how to do skin. I think the beard and hair are good. Let me know

Cheers
Mark

- NMM needs deeper shading, now it looks plain and yellow
- green cape is quite OK and nicely shaded
- hair and beard need some shading, now they're terribly flat. the easy way would be with washes, otherwise you may try layering
- any ideas about the 'wings'?

Hi,

Thanks for the tips to all.

Yes I think they're mould lines on the wings. Not proud of that, specialy since I pride myself with those. Guess I was in a hurry to apply some paint(not an excuse). Pictures are still not the best but are getting better and do not the mini justice or maybe it really shows what's out there.

How do I had shading to my gold ?
As for the hair and beard, I think too much light from the camera hides the shadding. But I find it hard to work with white.

Asfor the wings, they look like smudge but they are not that bad. Again pour pictures. Need help with that part. Any hints ?

Thanks everybody for sharing advice and comments.
