AoM's Yu Jing WIPs

Post by Angel_of_Menoth »

I finally got a few pictures of the Yu Jing stuff I've been painting. The green models are for a demo force for the distribution company I've started working for part-time. The Wu Ming is mine.

Here's a quick teaser:

I like color scheme as well :)
I'd add some more shading or maybe weathering on bright armour plates - not too much but just a bit to break color monotony of these elements :)

The bottom model is going to get highlighting and weathering. As my favorite Infinity model, I can't let myself get away with anything less. I'm also thinking of picking up another one purely to paint to the best of my ability because I think he's just that cool.

Thanks for the encouragement so far.

good enough for table-top :)
they perhaps lack a bit of contrast. Deeper shadows and lighter highlights would make them more 'visible' on a gaming table.

used some brush-on gloss to smooth out the white sections on the Wu Ming. I tend to end up with that particular white being too thick, or too thin. just can't seem to find the right balance, so sometimes I end up with a really rough texture from it drying as I paint. The gloss took care of smoothing things out for me. I'll shoot him with dullcote tonight so I can get back to highlighting, shading, and weathering.
