For anyone in the US not hit by Katrina, there is a fandom-based relief effort being put together. Right now the focus of it is getting places to stay for people effected by Katrina.

What a good effort Tanya! Although Katrina was expected, it managed to do more damage then was calculated. I sincerely hope that all your friends are allright and that they will be back on their feet again real soon.
