GD teams VS individual artists

Golden Demons and all the other miniature painting competitions and events

It would beinteresting, if a whole group of People does something, not only two, who share the Sculpt and Painting... No, a "Specialist" on every technique on one Mini...

Something like that will be shown in some time, but this will be just for fun (insiders know, what I am talking about...;)...), and we will see, whether GD develops into this direction... wouldn´t be too nice, but you know... more better for Single Competing Winners... it is more honorable to win against a group...:D...

The U.S. rules are pretty clear about this point. All work must be done by one person. I'm fairly amazed that European GDs aren't the same, but different attitudes I guess.

I believe the team effort just can't be judged fairly against a single-person entry. To me, it can be broken down into a judging issue: How do you claim fairness in judging if you allow multiple-person entries to be pitted against single-person entries? I suppose you could pull it off if you forewarn every person that participates that they may be competing against team entries, but I believe you'd lose some entrants and probably cause some tempers to flare.

To me, it's one thing to say "well, you knew you might be up against Jen Haley or Marike Reimer or Jeremie B. if you entered a GD", but I think it's a further thing to say "well, you should have known you might be competing against a piece that had Tom Schadle and Jen Haley both working on it."

Personally I'd like to have that rule in Europe too, but I can live with it if it's not gonna come (which is more likely)
